What Did i Learn?

Throughout the semester I was exposed to a variety of Programming languages used on the Web like HTML,CSS,Bootstrap, Javascript, PHP, and SQL. I learned how to use a hostgator account and run a website, which was a pretty cool experience since I did not do this before. We also did many other things during this semester like connecting to a database and using SQL to update the database. I also learned how to make a registration page through the use of PHP, HTML, and SQL, which was something I have always been curious how to do. We also did many quizzes and many tutorials on code academy and w3schools which would help us understand the general background of the programming languages.I felt the best learning stragety while doing these tutorials was watching the Boston videos since he would do it step by step and show you how to do everything.

Wishes & Improvements

Some of the things I would have improved on the assignment portfolio was some of the bullets on the list that would link you to the web pages. I couldn't figure out how to not show the bullets even though I tried using the examples from W3schools. I would have also liked to improve the format of how the information was displayed on the page, instead of stretching throughout the entire page, would only stretch within a column/container. If the class was longer I would have liked to continue learning more SQL and PHP since, for 3365, we have to teach ourselves SQL and it would be nice to have learned more of it. I would have also liked to learn more about PHP since it is what is used to connect to the database and give it data. I feel these two would help me achieve my end goal of becoming a database Adminstrator.
